The following food should be completely avoided for 60 days leading up to the Samyama program:
· Any negative-pranic food
· Including garlic, onion, chilli, jalapenos, brinjal (eggplant), asafoetida (hing), coffee (even decaf), tea, alcohol, cigarettes, and all other nervous stimulants.
· Non-vegetarian food
· Dairy in any form
Bringing 50% raw food into your diet is a must. Consume more raw food including fruits, salads, sprouts and nuts as well as kanji (porridge made from cereals, like Sanjeevini, ragi and bajra, kambu). Bring in as much sprouted green gram and soaked groundnuts as possible. Eating 100% raw food would be ideal. (Sanjeevini mix is available at Isha Life).
